Voltigeurs

1810 Further to decree of 30 December 1st and 2nd regiments of Tirailleurs Chasseurs are renamed 1st and 2nd regiments of Voltigeurs and 1st and 2nd regiments of Conscrits Chasseurs are renamed 3rd and 4th regiments of Voltigeurs.
1811 Further to decree of 18 may 5th and 6th regiments of Voltigeurs are raised.
1813 Further to decree of 15 February the National Guard regiment is renamed 7th regiment of Voltigeurs. Further to decree of 25 march a 8th regiment is raised and on 3 April the 9th, 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th.
1814 Regiments numbered 14 to 19 are created on 21 January. With first Restoration all regiment are disbanded, and men incorporated in line.
1815 The reraised Imperial Guard includes six regiments of Voltigeurs.

Troopers

• Dark blue habit, blue pointed lapels with white edging, buff collar with blue edging, scarlet pointed cuffs with white edging, scarlet turnbacks ornamented with green eagles and hunting horns. Vertical skirt pockets simulated by a white piping. Green shoulder straps with white edging. Copper buttons.
• White waistcoat and breeches. Black gaiters simulating light cavalry boots with blue edging and tassel.
• Black shako with copper eagle, white cord and flounders. Green plume with red top inserted in a tricolour cockade. Copper chinstrap.
• White leather-work, black cartridge pouch. Brown haversack with white straps and rolled grey coat.
• Sabre of infantry pattern, white swordknot. Musket with iron fittings.

NCO
Troopers’ dress with gold rank chevrons over the cuffs. White epaulettes with 2 longitudinal red stripes and fringes of mixed green and gold thread. Cord an flounders of mixed green and gold thread.

Officers
Same as Chasseurs à pied officers. Black shako with black top band embroidered with gold laurels and gold piping, green plume with red top inserted in a gold tulip shaped device.

Drummers
Troopers’ dress. Collar, cuffs, lapels and turnbacks with gold trimming. Copper shell with blue counterhoops, white rod, lug and strainer, black stick, copper stick holster.
