This two regiments are raised in 1810 at three squadrons strength raised to four squadrons on the following year. They participate to russian campaign in the 24th light cavalry brigade of VIIIe corps. The re-raised regiments take part to the Germany campaign
During the night of October 22 1813 they go over to austrian and form the cavalry of the austro-german legion, disbanded in 1814.

Centre companies
1st regiment, 1810-1813 (westphalian army)

• Green cloth dolman with 3 rows of 15 buttons. White laces and braids. Scarlet trimmed white collar and pointed cuffs. Green pelisse with white laces and braids and black fur trim. Scarlet wool sash with white barrels and cord. White buttons.
• Green hungarian breeches with white pikes or scarlet breeches with white knots, white side bands. Black hungarian boots with white trim and tassel.
• Black felt shako with black leather top and bottom bands. Brass shield plate stamped with royal cipher or eagle plate with base. White cords and flounders. Sky blue plume with white top and base over sky blue ball pompon, westphalian cockade with white strap. Black leather peak with brass strengthening and brass chinscales.
  The 1st squadron could have worn scarlet cloth shako.
• Black leatherwork. Hussar sabre with single bar brass hilt and iron scabbard, black sabre strap. Black leather sabretache bearing white regimental number..
• Black leather light cavalry harness. White sheepskin saddle cover with green wolf teeth. Round portmanteau of green cloth with white lace and regimental number.

2nd regiment, 1810-1813 (westphalian army)

• Black shako with black and yellow pompon bearing a large black and yellow cockade with yellow strap.
• Austrian schabraque and sabretache of red cloth laced yellow and black and decorated with imperial F1 cipher in yellow.

2nd regiment, 1813-1814 (austrian army)

• Sky blue dolman. Black and yellow braids and laces. Sky blue pelisse with black and yellow braids and laces and black fur trim. White buttons.
• Sky blue hungarian breeches with black and yellow knots and side trim. Black hungarian boots with black and yellow trim and tassels.
• Rest as first regiment.

Elite company
Troopers’ dress with black fur colback with green bag piped white. White cords and flounders. Scarlet plume over scarlet ball pompon. White metal chinscales.

Troopers’ dress. White or silver rank chevrons over cuffs. For senior ranks, silver lace on top of shako.

1st regiment
Troopers’ dress with silver braids and laces. Silver rank lace around top of shako. Silver rank chevrons over cuffs and pikes on breeches. All metal parts silver or silvered. Fur trim on pelisse light grey or fox brown. Green cloth schabraque laced silver.
2nd regiment
Like first regiment. On some plates, scarlet cloth sabretache laced silver decorated with a 2 surrounded by silver laurels. Sky blue schabraque laced silver.
