Dragonregiment
Cavalry regiments strength was only composed of conscripts except for Akershusiske Dragonregiment that included one enlisted company.
In 1808, the four regiments of dragoons each have seven or eight companies for a total strength of 3900 cavalrymen.

Dragoons
Same dress and insignias as line cavalry of the Danish army with green cockade.
Mounted chasseurs (ridende jeger)
Dress as sharpshooters and armament as dragoons. Green cloth saddle cover with lack wolf’s teeth piped white.
Artillery
In 1808, the Norwegian artillery was composed of six enlisted companies, of which one was a horse company, and five national companies.
In preparation of the campaign of 1814, the l’Oplandske Dragonregiment was disbanded and the strength used to raise six new national companies.
The mountainous nature of terrain forbade the use of heavy guns so field batteries only used 1pdrs and 3pdrs
